The first version of the medical mobile application will be launched this spring <\/b>Ella<\/b><\/a> to help prevent and treat problems during and after pregnancy.
\nWomen’s health is a historically neglected area, but it has received increasing attention in recent years thanks to the growing trend in Femtech.
\nElla is now backed by several investors who want to help transform women’s health care. <\/b> In August 2021, Ella closed an investment round of just over SEK 6 million, and most recently in March 2022, a round of over 4.5 million was closed.
\nAmong those who have invested in the latest round are Curus and Joo Emmy Sundstr\u00f6m, who invested in the tech-driven health and service companies Doktor.se and Dryft. – We want to invest in Femtech, which is an important part of digital health.
\nWomen are much more informed and used to managing their own and others’ health than men, but then there must also be platforms where women get quality and easily accessible support.

Together with his physiotherapist, an individualized plan is created with digital care meetings and evidence-based training programs that are continuously updated as conditions change. The programs can both prevent and treat pregnancy-related disorders, which affect at least 90% of all women going through pregnancy, and also help women reach the recommended amount of physical activity. – What makes Ella unique, unlike online doctors, is that we really embrace the benefits of technology.
\nWe build smart algorithms and <\/i>ntions that create great value for the user, far beyond healthcare encounters,” says Emelie Hollsten, CEO and founder of Ella.<\/em> In the future, the app will feature articles, podcasts and courses so that there is something new to learn or discover every day.
\nAn AI is also being developed to predict symptoms and recommend the right care at the right time.
\nIn the future, Ella wants to be a multi-professional care platform specifically adapted for the time during and after pregnancy.
\nIn the upcoming launch, physiotherapy will be the first to go, and then the aim is to offer support from healthcare professions such as psychologists, dieticians, midwives and gynecologists. – We want to become a healthcare provider that both prevents and treats disorders and complications during pregnancy and postpartum.
