Curus portfolio company Add Health Media has acquired the AICD.nu platform, a digital tool used by doctors to quickly find diagnosis and action codes.
AICD.nu is used daily by a large proportion of Sweden’s doctors to search for ICD-10 codes and associated KVÅ codes. The platform has grown rapidly by offering a simple and accurate search engine that handles both synonyms and misspellings. It also automatically links relevant action codes to each diagnosis.
The acquisition is in line with Curus strategy to invest in digital services with clear user benefits and recurring use in healthcare.
– AICD.nu solves a concrete problem in the daily life of doctors. The high usage shows that it is a tool that is needed. Together with Praktiskmedicin.se, we see good opportunities to further develop the offer, says Erik Olsson Nyrén.
AICD.nu will be integrated into Praktiskmedicin.se, one of Sweden’s most widely used clinical support websites. The ambition is to gather information about diagnosis, treatment and coding in a coherent workflow.
The market for digital clinical support is growing, and the need for effective tools in healthcare is great. Through the acquisition, Add Health Media strengthens its position in the area.
