Curus carries out new share issue

21 Aug - 2023

Healthtech-focused investment company Curus carries out a new share issue to support the company’s growth ambitions and enable further investments. Curus was founded in 2021 by Johan Bloom and has since raised capital from Alfvén & Didrikson, Stefan Bengtsson, e-health entrepreneur Alexander Stendahl, Christian Dahlberg and business angel Lars Lindgren, among others.
The new share issue, which was led by Alfvén & Didrikson, provides the company with an additional SEK 43 million.
In connection with this, Curus welcomes new investors, including Fredrik Strömholm (founder of Impilo), Klas Tikkanen (COO and partner at Nordic Capital), Johan Dettel (former partner at EQT) and the Versteegh Group, owner of, among other things, Apotekstjänst.
“We are very pleased to welcome several new investors who strengthen Curus with additional experience, expertise and contact networks. This capital raising is in line with our growth ambitions where we see interesting opportunities in the market that we want to have the chance to act on. With renewed confidence from existing investors, we now have the opportunity to continue to invest and support several companies in health and care with a focus on the digital future.”, says Erik Olsson Nyrén, Investment Manager at Curus.
The second largest shareholder after founder Johan Bloom is Alfvén & Didrikson, which is an active and long-term partner to entrepreneurs and companies with international growth ambitions.
“Curus has built a great platform for further expansion and we are grateful to be part of and support the team”, says Ken Liebkind, Partner at Alfvén & Didrikson.
