Curus raises new capital

2023/08/21

Healthtech-focused investment company Curus raises new capital to support the company’s growth ambitions and enable continued investments.

Curus was founded in 2021 by Johan Bloom and has since its inception raised capital from, among others, Alfvén & Didrikson, Stefan Bengtsson, e-health entrepreneur Alexander Stendahl, Christian Dahlberg and angel-investor Lars Lindgren. The new capital raise, which was led by Alfvén & Didrikson, brings approximately SEK 43 million to Curus. In connection with this, Curus welcomes several new investors, including Fredrik Strömholm (founder of Impilo), Klas Tikkanen (COO and partner at Nordic Capital), Johan Dettel (former partner at EQT) and Versteegh Gruppen, owner of, among others Apotekstjänst.

”We are very happy to welcome several new investors whom will strengthen Curus with additional experience, competence and contact network. This capital raise is aligned with our growth ambitions where we are seeing interesting investment opportunities in the market that we want to be able to act on. Together with renewed confidence from existing investors, we now have the opportunity to continue to invest and support several companies within the healthcare space with a focus on the digital future.”, says Erik Olsson Nyrén, Investment Manager at Curus.

The second largest owner after founder Johan Bloom is Alfvén & Didrikson, which is an active and long-term partner to entrepreneurs and companies with international growth ambitions.

”Curus has built a solid platform for continued expansion, and we are grateful to be involved and help with the work to scale up their business,” says Ken Liebkind, partner at Alfvén & Didrikson.
